Descend

Descend is an incomplete single-player 2D fighting game, where you would have fought through a series of escalating boss battles with different properties each time. 

The game’s story followed a knight, who over many years, had slain countless creatures for the sake of gaining experience. However, once retired, his nights are plagued with the memories of all those they’d slain.

Whether he would have continued to live in denial, or accept what happened would have been decided by your in-game actions.
